bodies of resistence Bodies of Resistance is an ambitious exhibition which presents emerging and established artists whose work and artistic practices has been influenced by HIV/AIDS.

The exhibition will encourage a reconsideration of representations of the body in light of the global spread of AIDS, as well as comparisons between developments in technology, science, and medical research. In the U.S, in particular, there is an established history of artists creating issue-based work which draws public attention to matters which are overlooked in the media or ignored politically. This exhibition follows within that tradition, showing significant work which considers the ongoing impact of HIV/AIDS and its implications for the twenty-first century.
